The Gómez de Segura Ibañez bodega was founded in 1948. With 200 acres of vineyards, planted primarily with Tempranillo, around the beautiful walled town of Laguradia, this winery makes some of the finest estate grown Rioja wines.
This family bodega maintains traditional techniques alongside modern innovations and special care is taken in the pressing of the grapes, as well as the subsequent Carbonic Maceration process, the resultant wines are highly aromatic.
Today third generation winemaker Ana Gomez de Segura is responsible for ensuring the quality of the wines produced. The wisdom accumulated over the past 50 years, the invaluable natural terroir, along with the quality of the vines themselves all contribute towards making a consistently excellent final product. The Montes de Segura wines are the ultimate expression of this legacy.
